Cosmetic dentistry can be used when There are occasions when teeth or fillings are discoloured or misshapen and a pleasing smile may be achieved with the use of resin or porcelain facings or crowns.
Whitening of discoloured teeth can be achieved with judicious use of various bleaching techniques. Tooth whitening works on natural enamel and dentine only. If there are pre-existing fillings on the teeth to be whitened some of the fillings may need to be replaced to match the whiter shades.
